Course Reflection ( self - Reflection )

The course required a lot of work that some students may not be willing to put into the class. The only thing I want to expand upon is the CV/interview section, if there is time. It would be great to have more practice interviews. The most valuable aspects of the course are lessons on CV building and cover letter writing. I can now structure my sentences in a more concise manner and I have learned what not to do in my writing. The course is very helpful for future career aspirations and although the course is difficult, I learned a lot from it. Everyone needs to write CVs, letters. To be successful in writing those documents, I will need this information. There was too much work crammed into one semester. However, this course allowed me to practice and remind my skills in a professional setting, which is something I am not able to do in my other classes. Also teaches subjects I can use in the 'real world’. I have learned many skills, especially job interview, CV and cover letter sessions useful. Communication is the single most important key to success in the workplace. If I can't communicate with confidence and credibility, I may get passed over for promotions, have a difficult time relating to coworkers and colleagues, and bear the brunt of misunderstandings and mistakes. Anyone can learn to communicate more effectively all it takes is practice. I learn to speak with style, power, and assertiveness during meetings, presentations, and while addressing large groups.
